Diamond in the Rough: Elizabeth Taylor
46Elizabeth Taylor
RIP Our Diamond in the Rough
Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born February 27th, 1932.
She began her career as a child where she was found to have an enhanceable image onscreen due to a mutation at birth which caused her to have double rows of eyelashes. (Mutation? I say flawless attribute)
Mrs. Taylor was well known for her many marriages, (8 in total). Her response when asked why she married so many times: "I don't know, honey. It sure beats the hell out of me."
Elizabeth had 4 children, Michael, Christopher, Elizabeth Frances, and Mario who was adopted in 1964.
At the time of her death her family surrounded her, including her 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
One line I will always remember from Mrs. Taylor: "These will bring you luck" in the white diamonds commercial. I'm not sure why that one stuck out to me, out of everything she had been in.
Though I was not known to be of her generation, I admired the beauteous creature she was. A flawless figure until the day she took her last breath.
Mrs. Taylor will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
