59 year old Leroy Fick won $2 million in a state lottery game last June and yet he still collects food stamps!
"If you're going to try to make me feel bad, you're not going to do it." He said in an interview on 5/16/11 when questioned about it.
Well Mr. Fick, you bastard, you may not feel bad, but you sure as hell will! There are millions of people in this country, (myself included), who are struggling to keep food on their plates. Yet somehow most of us do not qualify for them! Where the hell is the justice here???
Why isn't the government doing more to stop this atrocity?
If the government won't do anything, maybe its time for the public to start doing something! Perhaps if we get plenty of people to petition, Mr. Fick will have to pay back what he's been spending in food stamps which he HAS NO RIGHT TO!
I usually don't get so worked up over things like this, but when I myself am struggling, being unemployed and can hardly pay for food for my 2 children, I get pretty pissed off to hear that freeloaders like him are around.

There are too many people out there like that. Too many willing to lie and cheat the system. However; it is also the fault of some states as they do not do random checks to make sure that the recipients income level has not changed. Such as Florida where once you are approved you could possibly receive food stamps for up to a year without a random check. You are supposed to report any changes in income level, but do most?
